I was baking cookies yesterday and today made this pie - good thing I worked

out extra hard at the gym today!

Baker's German Sweet Chocolate Pie

1 pkg. 4 oz. German Sweet chocolate

2 tbsp. milk

2 tbsp. sugar

1 8 oz. pkg. reduced fat cream cheese

1 8 oz. container Cool-Whip

Melt the chocolate in the microwave with 2 tbsp. milk, 1 minute.  Stir until well

combined.  Add in the sugar and cream cheese and beat until well mixed.  Stir

in the cool whip - pour into a cooled baked pie shell.  Refrigerate!

Simple Stepped Up White Cake

Well, I made NO money in Vegas, in fact, we won't talk about how much I left behind.  On to trying to win the powerball again  :)  And working of course!  I am making chicken dumpling soup for supper - since the hubby has a sore throat and I know he will love it and appreciate it.  Here is a cake I am whipping up for dessert as well.

Simple Stepped Up White Cake:
1 pkg. White Cake Mix
1 1/4 c. water
3 eggs
2 tbsp. canola oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. orange extract (or whichever flavor you like)
Mix together and bake as directed on the cake mix box. Use rounds if you want to make a layer cake!
Frosting: 1 c. milk, 3 tbsp. flour, 1 c. butter, softened, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla. Combine milk and flour in saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened. Cool. Beat butter in a bowl until creamy. add sugar and beat until fluffy. add in vanilla and milk/flour mixture. beat until thick and smooth. Frost cake!
